Consistency through motivation

Consistency is key. Maintaining motivation to maintain consistency is therefore also key. What are your top tips for maintaining or improving motivation? For example, varying “structured” training (when is a routine too routine?), training more, training less, creating addictive training habits, milestone setting, entering events, improving recovery…?
